10th Annual Mr. D Golf Outing
Dear Friends,
This year marks the 10th Mister D Golf Outing on Saturday, October 8, 2016, and the event continues to grow in popularity and charitable giving with your generous support. The event is named for our good friend, the legendary Philadelphia area basketball coach and first class humanitarian William “Mister D” Draper who passed away in 2004.
Through this event, we celebrate the outstanding life of Mister D, and raise money for scholarships in his name that aid area basketball players who demonstrate the admirable characteristics of the late coach and leader. Since we started the fund, 50 exceptional young men from all backgrounds have been awarded a total of $ 70,000 in scholarships.
Mister D was associated with the prestigious Narberth League for more than five decades. Throughout his life, he gave his time, energy and resources to help young people. We need your continued support to carry on the positive spirit of Mister D and the ideals that he taught each summer and throughout the year.
To carry on this legacy, we are seeking donations from area individuals and businesses to use as raffle prizes and silent auction items, and hope we can count on you to make a contribution. You will, of course, be recognized in the event program and at the event.
